Privacy Policy
Last updated: January 13, 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to FreelancerFlow ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service").
FreelancerFlow is operated by CC, an independent software developer based in the Republic of Türkiye, and is published under the Corrplus brand. By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:
- Register for an account
- Use our AI-powered features
- Contact us for support
- Subscribe to our newsletter
This information may include: name, email address, phone number, billing information, and professional details relevant to freelancing.
2.2 Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service, including device information, IP address, browser type, operating system, app usage patterns, and feature interactions.
2.3 Project Data
To provide our AI-powered project management features, we process project briefs, task descriptions, time tracking data, and budget information that you input into the Service. This data remains yours and is used solely to deliver the Service.
2.4 AI Processing via OpenAI
When you use AI-powered features (project task generation, brief analysis, pricing suggestions), the text you provide — including project briefs, task descriptions, and any contextual notes — is transmitted from our servers to OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States) for inference. OpenAI processes this content under their API data-handling terms: API content is not used by OpenAI to train their general-purpose models, but they may retain inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring, after which content is deleted. We do not send your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information alongside the AI request — only the text required to generate the response. If you prefer not to send any of your data to OpenAI, simply do not use the AI features; every other feature of the Service works without them.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our Service
- Power AI features like task generation, brief analysis, and pricing recommendations
- Process transactions and send related information
- Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
- Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and abuse
- Personalize and improve your experience
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We use a small set of named service providers (data processors) to operate the Service. Each provider receives only the data they need to perform their function, and we have a data-processing relationship with each one. The full list of processors is below.
4.1 Sub-processors
- Supabase Inc. (United States) — managed PostgreSQL database, authentication (including Sign in with Apple), and serverless functions. Stores your account, project, client, task, quote, invoice, payment, and notification preference records. Acts as our primary application backend.
- OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States) — large-language-model inference for AI features (task generation, brief analysis, pricing suggestions). Receives the text you submit to AI features, per Section 2.4. Does not receive your name or email address.
- RevenueCat, Inc. (United States) — subscription state management for App Store auto-renewable subscriptions. Receives your anonymized account identifier and Apple StoreKit purchase events; tells our backend whether your subscription is free, in trial, or paid.
- Functional Software, Inc. d/b/a Sentry (United States) — crash and error reporting on the iOS app and backend. Receives stack traces, device model, OS version, and app version. We disable network-payload and request-body capture; PII keys are scrubbed before transmission.
- Resend, Inc. (United States) — transactional email delivery (account confirmation, password reset, invoice reminders, weekly digests, support replies). Receives recipient email address and message content.
- Apple Inc. (United States) — Sign in with Apple authentication, App Store payment processing, App Store Server Notifications, and Apple Push Notification service. Apple's data handling is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
- Vercel Inc. (United States) — hosting for the marketing site and admin dashboard at freelancerflowai.com.
4.2 Other Disclosures
- Legal Requirements: When required by law or to respond to legal process
- Protection: To protect the rights, property, or safety of FreelancerFlow, our users, or others
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
4.3 International Data Transfers
All sub-processors named above operate in the United States. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, or another jurisdiction with restrictions on cross-border data transfer, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (or, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) as the legal basis for these transfers. You may contact us via the address in Section 11 to request a copy of the relevant transfer safeguards for any sub-processor.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption, secure servers, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Service. We will also retain and use your information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request access to your personal data
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to processing of your data
- Withdrawal: Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise these rights, please contact us at privacy@freelancerflowai.com.
8. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and hold certain information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of our Service may not function properly without cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
10. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your country. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
