Tasks live inside projects. You add them by hand when you know what you need, or use AI Fill Tasks when you want a starting list generated from a project brief. This article covers the by-hand path.
Goal: by the end of this you'll have one task saved against a project, with a due date and a priority set.
Prerequisites
- At least one project. See Creating your first project.
Step 1: Open the project
From the Projects tab, tap the project. The project detail screen shows your tasks, quotes and invoices.
Step 2: Tap Add task
The button sits in the Tasks section header. Tapping it opens the New task sheet.
Step 3: Fill in the form
- Title (required) — what you have to do.
- Description (optional) — extra context, links, notes.
- Priority — Low, Normal, or High. High priority tasks surface in the Tasks tab High Priority filter.
- Due date (optional) — date only, no time. Used by the Overdue / Today / Upcoming filters.
- Estimated time (optional) — your own estimate in hours.
Step 4: Save
Tap Save. The task lands at the bottom of the project's task list with status To do.
Working with the task
- Swipe left to toggle In progress.
- Swipe right to mark Completed.
- Tap to open the detail and edit.
Troubleshooting
- Can't save. Title is the only required field — make sure it isn't empty.
- Wrong project. Tasks are scoped to the project you create them from. To move one, edit the task and change the project field, or delete and re-create in the right project.
- Date field won't accept time. Due dates are day-granular by design. If timing within a day matters, put the time in the title or description.
