Setting up your profile and currency

Fill in your business profile and pick a base currency. Both live in Settings and take about three minutes the first time.

Before you start

Your profile and base currency end up on every quote and invoice you send, so the easiest time to set them is right after you install the app. Both live in Settings — the gear icon in the dashboard's top right.

Goal: by the end of this you'll have your name and business details saved, and a default currency picked for new quotes and invoices.

Prerequisites

  • The iOS app installed and open. No account is required to fill these in; you can sign in later.

Step 1: Open Settings

From the dashboard, tap the gear icon in the top right. The Settings screen opens with sections for Profile, Defaults, AI Preferences, Language, Appearance, Work & Notifications, Subscription, and Data.

Step 2: Fill in your profile

Tap Profile. The screen is split into Personal, Account, and Business sections.

  • Personal — first name, last name, phone. Used as your byline on PDFs.
  • Business — business name, business email, business phone, business address, tax ID, bank details, payment terms (default Net 14), and an optional invoice footer (default "Thank you for your business").

Everything in this screen is optional, but the business name and email show up on every PDF you send, so it's worth filling in before you create your first quote. Tap Save when you're done.

Step 3: Set your base currency

Back in Settings, tap Defaults, then Currency. Pick the currency you bill most of your clients in. New quotes, new invoices, and new projects all start in this currency; you can override any of them individually when you create them.

Step 4: (Optional) Set your default hourly rate

While you're in Defaults, set your default hourly rate if you bill hourly. This pre-fills new hourly projects with the same number so you're not retyping it every time.

Troubleshooting

  • Profile won't save. Sign in first. Profile data syncs to your account; signing in establishes which account it belongs to.
  • Currency list doesn't include what I need. All ISO currency codes are supported. Scroll or use the search field at the top of the picker.
  • PDF shows the wrong business name. Re-open Profile, fix the field, save, and re-export the PDF. Existing PDFs are not regenerated automatically.
